Skip Bayless speculates LeBron James winning his 5th title after Lakers re-signed with Austin Reaves

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are looking forward to another great season as they have secured some players who helped them tremendously last season. One of the players they secured this summer is Austin Reeves, who will return to the Lakers’ lineup after signing a four-year, $56 million deal.
Skip Bayless believes re-signing Reaves to a new deal will be key to LeBron winning his fifth title. Biles also stated that the 6-foot-5 shooting guard is the best player on the team and was the reason the team was able to make a deep playoff run.
“Biggest reason LeBron James has such a good chance of winning his fifth ring… I’ve never seen any player improve so much. From college basketball to pro basketball. Never the way Austin Reeves did in front of our Open Your Eyes.”

The Lakers robbed him again in free agency. He was worth twice what they paid him. In fact, they made it clear they were willing to pay the Lakers nearly twice what he got.
“Let that sink in, the Lakers’ MVP in the playoffs last year, and easily the MVP of the Conference Finals against Denver will now be the fifth highest paid player in the Lakers next season.”
The biggest reason for LeBron James’ chance to win his fifth ring is the fact that the Lakers shut down Austin Reeves.
Bayless seems to see something in Reaves that many don’t. He’s not afraid to proclaim the young shooting guard the best player on the team either, even though the Lakers still have LeBron and Anthony Davis on the roster.
Many have praised the Los Angeles team for their excellent agency moves. They didn’t go after the biggest stars in the offseason, but they chose to secure who helped them last season, even adding some valuable new players along the way.

Fred Van Fleet remembers the time LeBron James played for the Raptors
Fred Van Fleet recently signed a new contract with the Houston Rockets after a great final season with the Toronto Raptors. As a member of the Raptors, VanVleet has had the opportunity to face LeBron James on multiple occasions, especially in the postseason.
VanVleet recalled the time James snapped during a game, shooting jumpers in one quarter.
“Sometimes, yes.” VanVleet said when asked if he feels isolated guarding LeBron. “Like he had a second or third quarter against us. One of them from the playoff series where he just decided he was going to shoot jumpers the entire quarter. There’s nothing you can do.
“Like, I knew what move he was going to do, and he’s still doing it and there’s nothing you can do. And there were a lot of those…Bron definitely gave us a couple of those performances.”
