After 10 days of exciting tennis competitions, the 2023 Wimbledon Championships is fast heading towards the business end. The field of players competing for the famous Venus Rosewater Dish (Women’s Singles Cup) has reached the quarter-finals.
Ons Jabeur avenged her heartbreaking loss from last year’s final against Elena Rybanika. She eliminated the Kazakh side in Wednesday’s quarter-final clash to end the latter’s reign at the All England Club. However, another strong opponent, Aryna Sabalenka, awaits the Tunisian in the semi-finals.
In the other main story at Wimbledon this year, Elina Svitolina made it back to the semifinals just nine months after giving birth to her daughter, Sky.
Playing in her second Grand Slam since returning from maternity leave, the Ukrainian stunned No. 1 Iga Swiatek in the quarter-finals to book her place in the semi-finals.
