Ishan Kishan had a fine outing on his Test debut against the West Indies on Wednesday. He was chosen as the wicket-keeper batsman in place of KS Bharat, who had been struggling with the bat in recent Tests.
Kishan replied faith and showed great composure behind the gates and grabbed a couple of goodies.
However, what caught fans’ attention on social media was the chatter behind the stumps.
Kishan was often entertaining and insightful and gave fans a glimpse into his personality and interactions with his teammates.
At one point he is heard asking Virat Kohli (standing at the slip) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (silly point) to change their stances a bit, and at another he expresses joy at the turn that R Ashwin has managed to pull off.

Kishan is a very promising junior guard. He has the skills and athleticism to be a top-class goalkeeper, and he’ll only get better with time.
With continued hard work and dedication, he could be one of the best wicket-keepers in the world in the years to come.
