As Stamp Fairtex’s star continues to rise, the Thai fan favorite has begun to learn English in an effort to better communicate with her fans, coaches, and training partners.

This September, Stamp is set to get an interim world title shot at the Atomic Bantamweight division after picking up impressive wins against Jihin Radzuan, Anna ‘Supergirl’ Jaroonsak, and Alyse Anderson in her last three rounds. Her victory over Anderson was nothing short of a star-making moment as Stamp delivered a vicious body kick in the second round that pinned her opponent in signature curling style.

The victory came at ONE Fight Night 10, the promotion’s critically acclaimed debut in the United States. Not only did the win secure the seal of another shot at ONE Gold Championship, but it also made her an international sensation.

To better connect with her vocal fan base, Stamp Fairtex has been taking English language courses, something she believes will help her when communicating not only with her fans, but also with her teammates:

“Matt (Lucas) was teaching me. I also have an English course,” Stump told L.L.C South China Morning Post. “That is why I try so hard to speak English. My coaches speak English, my training partners speak English, and I promise you it will get better.”

Off a three-fight winning streak and owning an impressive 10-2 record inside the circuit, Stamp is set to return for an interim world title fight against the promotion’s No. 2 heavyweight contender, Ham Seo-hee. ‘Hamzzang’ would be one of the most experienced fighters the Stamp has ever faced, with 34 career fights to her credit and an undefeated record under the ONE Championship banner.

Amazon Prime Video subscribers in North America can pick up Stamp vs. Ham on ONE Fight Night 14 live for free in US prime time this September.
