Delhi Flood News LIVE: Rain Predicted as River Yamuna Overflows, Red Alert in Faridabad; Red Fort, Schools, Colleges Shut

The road near the Supreme Court, ITO and Pushta Road has been flooded. Officials said that not only was the Yamuna water causing a flood-like situation but the sewage overflowed and backflowed in many areas.

To maintain a view of the situation in the national capital, 16 NDRF teams have been deployed, and schools, colleges and even Nigam Bodh Ghat have been closed. The Red Fort is also closed to visitors. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted light to moderate rain in Delhi on Friday, while a yellow alert was issued for Saturday. Delhi hospitals also kept vacant beds for emergency cases.

Northern Railway operations remain suspended. About 600 express mail trains were canceled over the next six days.
