Indian captain Rohit Sharma has won praise Yashasvi Jaiswal after hitting his 171-match winning streak In the first test against the West Indies at Windsor Park in Dominica.
Speaking after the match Rohit said, “He has the talent, he has shown us in the past that he is ready. He came and hit rationally. His temperament was also tested, he did not panic at any stage.”
Jaiswal and Rohit put together a record 229 opening-wicket partnership after which Jaiswal went on to put together another 110-run partnership with Virat Kohli. Neither the speed nor the spin bothered Jeswal, and one felt that it would just be a huge mistake or loss of patience that could have caused his downfall.

“The chats were reminding him that you belong here. You’re done with the tough arenas, have fun here,” Rohit added.
India beat the West Indies by an innings and 141 runs on the third day. Ravichandran Ashwin took seven wickets in the second innings and ended up taking 12 wickets in the game. “I would like to start by saying that it was a great effort with the ball,” said Rohit.
“Bringing them out for 150 put us in the game. We knew batting was going to be tough, and it wasn’t easy to score runs. We knew we only wanted to bat once and bat for a long time. Get over 400 runs and then go out and play well.”
The hosts’ totals of 150 and 130 are comfortably eclipsed by debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal, who tells the story of India’s domination of Dominica.
