Delhi, according to the Indian Meteorological Department, will see cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms today.
After a relative calm of two days, Delhi saw heavy rains on Saturday night, which led to waterlogging and heavy traffic clashes in places that were already experiencing flood-like situations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday spoke to Governor V. K. Saxena to assess the situation on the ground.
On Sunday, the Indian Meteorological Department predicted that the sky will be generally cloudy with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms.

- At least three boys drowned in the watering hole of a golf course under construction in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka Sector 23.
- Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a meeting with all the ministers regarding the flood situation in the capital, and relief efforts to deal with it.
- Talking about the meeting, MLRA leader Saurabh Bhardwaj said that all relief camps have been set up with all basic facilities. “Responsibility for relief and rescue operations in six flood-affected areas is divided among six ministers. We have reported to LG VK Saxena about the case,” said Bhardwaj.
- On Twitter, LG said PM Modi “was summoned upon his arrival in the country to take a detailed account of the flood situation in Delhi and had full information on the efforts being made in this regard. He instructed to do all possible work for the benefit of the people of Delhi with the help and cooperation of the centre.”
- Although the water level in Yamuna is still above the danger level, it has followed a downward trend as flood waters have receded from many areas.
- Delhi is facing an unprecedented flood-like situation as the Yamuna breached its banks after days of heavy rains in the upper river catchment areas.
- Although Saturday’s rains could lead to a rise in the water level of the Yamuna River, which has been flowing above the 205.33m danger mark for days.
