Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday presided over a meeting of the High Capacity Procurement Committee (HPPC) and approved contracts and procurement worth Rs 620.88 crore.

The state government said that due to negotiations with several bidders who submitted bids for these projects, the government managed to save Rs 15.47 crore.

Among those present during the meeting were Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare JP Dalal, Minister of Energy Ranjit Singh, Minister of Transport Moul Chand Sharma and Minister of State for Revenue and Disaster Management Anoop Danak.

“Ten agendas for irrigation, Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL) and Uttar Haryana Bilji Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) in the High Power Purchasing Committee and four agendas for Public Works (buildings, roads) and Public Health Engineering Department in the High Power Purchasing Committee,” a government spokesperson said. The works were put up for discussion and all were approved.

Giving details of the approved projects, the spokesperson added, “Among the various works and procurement made during the meeting, the enhancement of Sirsa-Lodsar-Bahadar road in Sirsa district; construction of a two-lane road from Panchgaon to Varukhnagar via Jamalpur in Gurugram district; Construction of 100 beds of the Government Institute for Tuberculosis, Heart and Lung Diseases in Ambala City; Renovation and modernization of water works in Hansi City, Hissar; Repair of old water works and construction of 8 MLD water treatment plants; Purchase of 10 kVA and 20 kVA distribution transformers; Construction 220 kV Transmission Line Construction of 220 kV IMT Kharkhoda (Pocket-A) Substation Construction of 220 kV IMT Kharkhoda (Pocket-B) Substation

Senior State Government officials including Additional Principal Secretary (Finance) Anurag Rastogi, Additional Principal Secretary (Agriculture and Farmer Welfare) Sudhir Rajpal, Additional Principal Secretary (Public Health Engineering) Ak Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Umashankar, Deputy Principal Secretary as The meeting was attended by Chief Minister KM Pandurang, General Manager (Supply and Disposal) Mohd Shain, General Manager (Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited) Saket Kumar, President (Haryana Power Utilities) PK Das, among other senior officials.
