Juventus are said to be interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie this summer.
The Ivorian midfielder only joined Barcelona last summer as a free agent after leaving AC Milan. He has started just 16 matches across competitions under Xavi Hernandez out of a total of 43 appearances. He contributed three goals and three assists.
As quoted by the expert Fabricius RomanCasey is now one of Juventus’ priority targets this summer. They are due to make a move for it next week.
according Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri are awaiting the sale of Paul Pogba to make an official offer to buy Casey. Coach Massimiliano Allegri is keen on the Ivorian midfielder as he prepares for the 2023-24 season.
Kessie also has good experience playing in the Italian league, having made 204 league appearances for teams like AC Milan and Atalanta. He scored 41 goals and provided 16 assists in the Italian League.
Barcelona are looking for a fee of around €15m for the Ivory Coast international, which Juventus should be willing to pay.
Casey is also attracting interest from Saudi Arabia. A potential move to the country could allow the Blaugrana to collect larger fees.
Regardless, Barcelona are looking for ways with Kessie and Clement Lenglet to raise some money and free up their pay bill.

Xavi also admitted that while the club needs to sign midfielders, they have to be smart about the market due to financial problems.

Romeo, 31, would cost around €8m, with his contract with Girona expiring in 2025, but the Blaugrana will try to negotiate it further.
