The next Call of Duty title, rumored to be Modern Warfare 3, is set to launch an internal alpha test and, according to PlayStationSize, is codenamed HailStröm. Not much has been officially revealed about the upcoming Call of Duty title, except that Sledgehammer Games is developing it. However, several leaks indicate how fans can expect the “premium title” to be released this year.
With the recent leak indicating that the developers are ready to roll out an internal alpha test for Modern Warfare 3, fans are sure to be excited because the official reveal of the game could be sooner than they know.
Here’s what we know about the leak so far.
According to the leak, the initial HailStröm alpha will be around 20GB in size and may be on PlayStation. While the publisher is completely silent about the situation, data miners and leakers are trying to find out as much information as possible.
Call of Duty 2023 alpha codenamed ‘HailStröm’
As famous leaker Tom Henderson suggested that the reveal of Call of Duty 2023 could be in early August, it was bolstered by a recent leak from Alaix. The data miner has detected a large event from the game file, which may reveal an upcoming title. This in-game event will likely take place in Warzone 2’s DMZ, labeled “Reveal”.
It looks like a detection event will happen at the farm (DMZ?) in S5
I can’t say for sure what it is, but his name “revealed”
As Call of Duty confirmed that Sledgehammer Games is developing the upcoming title and it will be a “full premium release,” the community got excited once again. Previously, Modern Warfare 2 was planned to be given full support for two years with no new Call of Duty in 2023.
However, Activision changed its mind, and while several leaks may point to the possibility of a Modern Warfare 2 expansion called Modern Warfare 3, the experience should be like a standalone Call of Duty game. According to many sources, Modern Warfare 3 may have a release window in early November this year.
