More details have been revealed about the backstage altercation following the main event of WWE RAW this week.

Judgment Day faced Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn in the main event of RAW. Towards the end, some pretty sloppy spots happened. However, Finn Balor, Damien Priest and Dominic Mysterio won to end Monday’s show.

Mike Johnson PWInsider I first reported that there was some confrontation between all of the WWE Superstars involved in the main event. Nobody liked the mess that happened, and some “last minute changes” were to blame.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling NewsletterJohnson’s report was very accurate, and there were some heated exchanges. He noted that Rollins and Zayn are “two perfect people” and may have had issues with how the match turned out.

“After watching the match, any problems with the match were minor except at the point of the slingshot’s blade and about 20 seconds or so after the two were in a little bit of discomfort,” Meltzer wrote. “Rollins and Zayn can be perfect in the ring so it probably bothered them more than the fans actually noticing something was wrong. Some of it was a misunderstanding due to changes late in the match. An argument happened and then it ended.” (free TJR Wrestling)

Meltzer added that the frustrations may have come from a good place as the WWE Superstars involved were upset about the quality of their match.

“It was noted that those in that match place a very high value on the quality of their matches, so they are likely to become frustrated when things don’t go as planned,” Meltzer wrote. Some tried to downplay the original report to me, but others noted that it went just as the Johnson report said, that it was word of mouth but not a bad thing. “

Kevin Owens had to leave WWE RAW immediately

Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp also gave details regarding the rumors behind the scenes after WWE RAW on Monday. SRS reported that Kevin Owens had to leave the arena immediately due to prior commitments.

Seth Rollins was frustrated after being hit with a jab, but the confrontation was not proportionate. Disagreement and frustration were reportedly simmering among co-workers.
