Special Round 1 of the Central Admissions Process (CAP) for First Year Junior College (FYJC) will begin on Monday.
The Department of Education and School Sports announced the schedule for the special round after the third round ended with 5,344 additional admissions on Friday. Students can edit and update their forms for the special round of CAP from 10 AM July 17 to 10 PM July 20. Students may also make changes to their college preferences during this time.
The final allocation list will be displayed on the official website ( ) of the Department of School Education and Sports at 10 am on July 24.
Students can check their documents and complete the admission process at the assigned college between 10 AM on July 24 until 6 PM on July 27.
Unlike regular rounds, if students are not accepted into the assigned college in the special round, they are not barred from subsequent rounds. Vacant seats in minority institutions will be opened to students of all classes in this round.
“The process is going smoothly and we have taken due care to ensure a smooth admissions process,” according to Director of Education (Secondary and Tertiary) Sampat Suriyawanshi.
The city’s third round ended on Friday with a higher than usual admission record with more than 50% of the seats filled across the 325 colleges that fall under the municipal corporate jurisdictions of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad.
A total of 44,206 students have been accepted. There are still 70,944 vacant seats.
