Memphis Depay reacted when former Manchester City star Benjamin Mendy was found not guilty of alleged sexual misconduct and rape charges leveled against him by a jury.

The Atletico Madrid striker said:
“I never touched on this topic because I didn’t know all the details, but I did talk to him once on FaceTime while he was behind bars and I confronted him on the field several times.. I saw no evil in the man.”
Memphis Depay concluded:
“We cannot accept this happening to us as athletes… Who is going to stand up for us in a time of need rather than when the damage has already been done? Don’t turn your heads.”
