On this week’s SmackDown, The Rock was tipped off by superstar Grayson Waller.
During a backstage interview with Cathy Kelly, Waller called out The Rock and even dropped his iconic “If I Smell” catchphrase but in his own style.
Interestingly, Waller also mentioned that The Great One wasn’t bothered by the issues within his family, referring to the issues within The Bloodline, and instead worried about him.
In recent weeks, Waller has shared the stage with WWE legends John Cena and Edge.
At Money in the Bank’s featured live event, he faced Cena, who made a surprise appearance on the show in London. On last week’s SmackDown, Waller finally made his in-ring debut on the main roster against a returning Edge.
The two men took each other to the limit before The Rated-R Superstar hit the spear for victory at Madison Square Garden.
The problems between The Rock and Grayson Waller began after the latter made fun of The Great One and this was reflected in his MSG debut.
Taking to Twitter, he posted a video of himself and also mocked The People’s Champion’s initial WWE outfit. Waller said:
“Can you imagine making your debut at Madison Square Garden, of all places, wearing something like that (old school rock dress)? (Laughs) Wait, I’m going to wear this. Oh my God. (Laughs) Oh my God, that’s so embarrassing. .Do you smell what I’m cooking?! That sucks.”
The former WWE Champion responded to Waller’s tweet by mocking him and stating that the idea for the outfit was Triple H. Rock wrote:
“Oh man, you’re right! That costume was so embarrassing. Here’s what’s even more embarrassing – the fact that you look and sound like you came out of a japononi balloon knot. Nice haircut, you’re an Outback Jack Off. Note, my throwback outfit for the first time was all a Triple Threat idea.” H”.
While The Great One hasn’t set foot inside the squared circle in some time, it remains to be seen if Waller is the one to bring him back to WWE.
