According to Sport, Bayern Munich is keen to complete an exchange deal that includes Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchoameni for full-back Alfonso Davies.

Los Blancos are said to be interested in signing Davies from Bayern Munich, as they value the left-back. The Canadian international has been in scintillating form for the Bavarians lately.

Since joining the Bavarian side in 2019, Davies has made 153 appearances across competitions, scoring eight goals and providing 25 assists across competitions. The 22-year-old made 38 appearances across competitions for the German giants last season, contributing three goals and eight assists.

While Real Madrid have Ferland Mendy in their ranks, the Frenchman is indispensable. Hence, they looked at Davies as a possible replacement for Mendy.

Bayern reportedly want Tshwamini, 23, as part of a swap deal for Davies. The Frenchman arrived in the Spanish capital from Ligue 1 last season and made 50 appearances across all competitions for Real Madrid.

He is one of the best young midfielders in world football right now and is expected to have a bright and long future in the Spanish capital. Thus, despite Bayern’s interest, it is highly unlikely that Los Blancos will offer the player on an exchange deal with Davies just one season after signing him.

Fabrizio Romano gives an update on the future of Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Choameni

Several major European clubs, such as Arsenal and Liverpool, are interested in signing Aurelien Chouamini from Real Madrid. Despite this, said transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish giants are unlikely to allow the player.

Given that Tchoameni is only 23 years old, and given the fact that he has a bright future ahead of him, Romano’s point is quite understandable. Romano said on his YouTube channel (via Empire of the Kop):

“The message is very clear – they want to keep the player. They trust Tshwamini for the club’s present and future, so it won’t be easy to bring Tshwamini to English football. At the moment, it looks very complicated.”

Tshwamini, along with the likes of Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga, is expected to be part of the club’s long-term future in midfield. Hence, he is set to remain in the Spanish capital for the foreseeable future, most likely.
