India’s Yusvendra Chahal has opened up about his love story with wife Dhanashree Verma, which blossomed during the lockdown. He revealed that since he did not have much to do, he approached Dhanashree, who was a choreographer, for online dance lessons.
One thing led to another and the cricketer ended up proposing marriage to Dhanashree, even though the two had not dated. Dhanashree accepted Chahal’s proposal and the two tied the knot in December 2020.
In an interview on Ranvirullah Badiya’s YouTube channel, Chahal shed light on how he ended up falling in love with Dhanashree during the COVID lockdown.
“During the lockdown, I had nothing to do. I wanted to learn 4-5 dance steps. I DMed her because I saw her dancing on reels. I texted her, asking if she was taking dance lessons. Online lessons started from there. In the two months The first two, we just talked about dancing.” He said.
The 32-year-old explained how they started talking so frequently:
“One night I was sitting down and texted her saying, ‘I want to ask you something.’ I asked her how she can be happy in everything even during lockdown. Our right interaction started from there. I loved her sentiment – she’s a self-made woman, like me. I really liked her and then I told my parents about her.” “.
Shahal said about her direct engagement to Denashri, despite knowing her for a short time:
“I told her right away, I don’t want to date you, I want to marry you. I was pretty sure it was the girl.”
Chahal and Danshree keep sharing adorable pictures on social media and also keep posting humorous comments on each other’s posts.
I loved the direct approach. It was straight forward that ‘Muj Shaadi Karni Hai’ – Dhanashree Verma
Dhanashree, who shared her side of the story, said it was Chahal’s straightforward and decent nature that attracted her. She also admitted that she had no idea a cricketer was approaching her for dance lessons because she had stopped watching the match around the time Legi made its debut in India.
I remembered:
“When I stopped watching cricket, that was when he first appeared in India. That was good because when he messaged about dance lessons, I had no clue about Yozi Chahal. He danced honestly and did his homework too. Decency is what I liked about him.” I liked the direct approach, he was frank that “Moj Shadi Karni is alive.”
Follow Dhanashree:
“He asked me about working continuously during the lockdown. So, I told him I had to occupy myself, but I’m meeting up almost every Saturday with my friends. He said, ‘Can you give me a Saturday of your day?’ Then I told my mom and her first reaction was, ‘Student Jaya But the way he treated me was very respectful, you can’t see that.”
Meanwhile, Chahal is preparing for the West Indies’ white-ball series, which includes three ODIs and five T20Is.
