The shell was reported to the local police by a bystander. The IT Park station police and bomb squad arrived immediately and the entire area was cordoned off.

A team from the Bomb Disposal Squad of Army Chandni Mandir (BDS) was called to the site and at around 6 pm, the team took the bomb with them for safe disposal, the officer said, adding that an investigation is underway. The sources said that the shell was live. At first glance, it was said that the shell came to the park with the rapid stream of water.
