Mayra Bueno Silva has been named among the UFC bonus winners for the UFC Vegas 77 event on July 15.
Shitara turned against former champion Holly Holm in a five-round bantamweight bout in the main event. The Brazilian defeated Holm and delivered her a Ninja Chokehold in the second round of the fight. This was Holm’s second ever loss to MMA via submission.
The 31-year-old was awarded the Performance of the Night award for her efforts and was awarded an additional $50,000 check. With the victory, Bueno Silva is now riding a four-way winning streak in the UFC.
In an emotional post-fight octagonal interview with Daniel Cormier, Cheetara called out Juliana Pena for the vacant bantamweight title.
“I get emotional. I do what they said and now I want a belt because I deserve it. Nobody ends up like me, I deserve the belt. Hey Juliana Pena, let’s go. I deserve this, you deserve this people deserve this… I’m the new face. I finish my fights. I submit Show everyone… This belt is my belt. This belt is Amanda (Nunes’) belt, it’s a Brazilian belt.” Mayra Bueno Silva.

Apart from Bueno Silva, Francisco Pedro also received the Performance of the Night bonus. Pedro went up against Othman Zaiter in a light match on the main card. The 21-year-old made light work of his opponent and finished him off in the opening round via TKO.
This was Pedro’s first win in the UFC and he received an additional $50,000 for it.
The co-main event of UFC Vegas 77 saw a welterweight showdown between Jacques Della Maddalena and Bassel Hafez. The contest marked Hafez’s first promo as he took up fighting on short notice.
The two players established an entertaining back-and-forth relationship that lasted the three allotted rounds. In the end, Maddalena trumped a split decision victory in the close fight with all three judges scoring it 28-29, 29-28 and 29-28 in favor of the Australian.
Their competition was honored as Fight of the Night and both fighters received a $50,000 bonus each.
The event marked the fourth promotional bonus for both Maddalena as well as Bueno Silva.
