Delhi Traffic Guidance: Bhairon Marg, Ring Road from ISBT Kashmere Gate to Timarpur and Civil Lines (Shopping Road side) opened, among others

The significant drop in the water level of the Yamuna River on Sunday provided a much needed respite to some waterlogged areas of the national capital. As the flood situation improved slightly, some roads, which were closed to traffic due to waterlogging, were opened to traffic, Delhi traffic police said Sunday night.

According to the traffic guidelines, Bhairon Marg and the Ring Road from ISBT Kashmere Gate to Timarpur and Civil Lines (Shopping Road side), among others, have been opened. Follow LIVE

Delhi Traffic Advisory – List of roads open to traffic

  • The ring road from Sarai Kale Khan to IP Flyover to Rajghat has been opened to light vehicles.
  • Traffic has also been opened on the Ring Road on both roads between ISBT Kashmere Gate and Majnu ka Tilla for medium and light vehicles.
  • Bhairon Marg and the Ring Road from ISBT Kashmere Gate to Timarpur and Civil Lines (Mall Road side) have been opened for traffic.
  • One road has been opened from Hanuman Setu to Salim Garh Pass to IP Upper Bridge. Traffic police said travelers heading to Nizamuddin can use this road and turn left from IP Flyover to Vikas Marg via Akshardham Setu loop.
  • Both sides of the outer ring road from Makrabah to Wazirabad have also been opened.
  • The old iron bridge at Pushta leading to Shemshan Ghat has also been opened to traffic.

Meanwhile, the Yamuna River still flows slightly above the danger mark of 205.33 metres. A slight rise in the water level was recorded at 7:00 am today at 205.48 meters, which is slightly more than the 205.45 meters recorded in the past three hours.

The water level is expected to fall below the ‘danger’ mark of 205.33 meters by today.
