Police said a dispute between the two women led to the accused attacking the victim with a sharp weapon

A woman who ran a photocopier shop in Palghar district of Maharashtra state was injured after another woman attacked her with a knife after an argument, police said on Sunday. Chief Inspector of Police Rajendra Campbell said the incident took place at the shop in Virar district on Saturday night. The accused went to the victim’s shop to get a copy. He said there was some disagreement between the two and then the accused attacked the victim with a sharp weapon.

Police said the victim sustained injuries and was rushed to a local hospital where she was undergoing treatment. They said a case has been registered against the accused under the relevant provisions and is being investigated.
