The army launched ‘Operation Bahadur’ on the night of Sunday and Monday after an attempt by infiltrators on the Line of Control in Poonch.

In a major anti-terror operation, the Indian army killed two terrorists while thwarting an infiltration attempt on the Line of Control in Poonch sector area of ​​Jammu district.

Defense spokesman Lt. Col. Sunil Partwal said in a statement that the army launched “Operation Bahadur” on Sunday and Monday night after an attempt by infiltrators on the Line of Control in Poonch sector area.

The army said in a tweet on Twitter, “A major infiltration attempt was canceled in a joint operation of the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police on the night of 17th July (July) in Poonch sector. Two infiltrators were eliminated. Search operations are on-going.”

The search was underway when the latest reports came in. There have been multiple attempts by terrorists to infiltrate Kashmir as well as Jammu region.

Last month, on June 23, four terrorists were killed when security forces thwarted an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control in Machil sector of Jammu and Kashmir. On June 16, five “highly trained” foreign terrorists from the GK Ghaznavi force were killed in Jumagund district near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
