Besides being one of the biggest athletes in the world, Virat Kohli is also a fitness freak. Off the field, the 34-year-old is known for his sculpted physique, physique, and athletic physique.

On Monday, July 17, Kohli shared his workout with his more than 255 million followers on Instagram.

In a clip shared on social media, the Delhi hitter can be seen doing squats with heavy dumbbells to increase his mobility and strength. He donned gray shorts and black trainers during his intense session at the gym.

The former India captain commented on the post:

“I go for movement plus strength? Cup squats.”

Since sharing it on Instagram, the clip has more than eight million views and more than two million likes.

Kohli follows a vegan diet (with eggs being the only exception) to keep himself in top physical condition. His diet mainly includes healthy and nutrient-dense foods to support his athleticism. He avoids processed and fried foods and refined sugar and eats plant-based sources of protein such as tofu and soybeans, leafy green vegetables, fresh fruits, complex carbohydrates and healthy fats.

Additionally, he drinks plenty of water throughout the day to keep himself hydrated.

In an old interview, Virat Kohli said that he became a vegetarian after facing issues with his health during India’s tour of South Africa in 2018. He said:

“I had a problem with my cervical spine which resulted in a tingling sensation in my little finger which made it hard for me to hit. It happened around the Centurion Test in South Africa in 2018.”

he added:

Moreover, my stomach became a little acidic, uric acid rose, and my stomach began to pull calcium from the bones, which led to a problem with my spine. Consequently, I had to cut back on meat and now feel better than ever.”

On the professional front, Kohli scored 76 runs off 182 balls against West Indies in the first Test at Windsor Park in Dominica. The senior batsman shared a century and 99 partnerships with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravindra Jadeja, respectively, as India declared on 421/5.

During his knocking, he surpassed Virender Sehwag’s tally (8,503 runs) to enter the list of five best bowlers for India in Tests. Rohit Sharma & Co. won the match by an innings and 141 runs.

Kohli will be next up in the second Test against the West Indies at Queen’s Park Oval, Port-of-Spain in Trinidad, starting on July 20.
