In the next two weeks, NFL training camps are set to begin for all 32 teams, signaling the imminent start of the Madden 24 season. Although “Madden 24” won’t be available until August 18th, fans may already start anticipating play. The game’s week-long process of revealing the game’s ratings began on Monday.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has the highest overall rating (99), followed by Miami Dolphins’ Tyrek Hill (98), and Las Vegas Raiders’ Davante Adams (97).
Let’s take a look at the underrated “Madden 24” wide receivers.

#1 – Brandon Ayuk
Even though Madden 24 is only a video game, Brandon Aiyuk of the San Francisco 49ers should have ranked higher.
Ayuk ranked 86, which is reasonable and not entirely terrible. He now ranks 21st among selected receivers. However, Ayuk was not forced to stand out when reading through many of his own skills. If anything, it’s easy to understand why he was so underrated.
Aiyuk did not place in the top 10 in any of Madden’s rankings for deep road running, intermediate road running, or short tracks.
After Brandon Ayuk collected a career-best eight receiving touchdowns last year and recorded his first 1,000-yard rushing season. The 25-year-old gun receiver told reporters he expects to pick up as the new season begins in a few weeks.
If he succeeds, he should emerge as one of the top Madden 25 contestants and get promoted to the top 20 overall, where he deserves to be.
#2 – Ceedee Lamb
Most pundits agree CeeDee Lamb has established himself as a top 10 goalscorer after a stellar season last year, with potential to advance higher in the rankings. Apparently, Madden 24 does not share this point of view.
DeAndre Hopkins and Amari Cooper, two veterans and possibly on the decline, received Top 10 ratings from Madden rather than the developing and possibly better Lamb.
Lamb, who was ranked 11th behind Washington captain Terry McLaurin and AJ Brown of the Philadelphia Eagles, slid into the second tier of receivers.
It’s amazing that Lamb couldn’t get a better rank after a solid season. Lamb finished sixth in receiving yards and tied for fifth in catches in 17 games last season. In every category, it outperformed Cooper and McLaurin as well.
#3 – Mike Evans
Mike Evans, one of the best ball catchers for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was not in the top 10 overall for the Madden 24.
Fans were outraged by Evans’ low overall rating of 90 in the game and how far below the hunters list you have to look before finding him.
The 29-year-old has established himself as one of the elite receivers in the league by amassing 1,000 yards or more in every NFL season.
One might argue that Evans should rank higher than some of the receivers who are now in the top 10. He was, for years, his team’s top receiver and was a standout receiver on a Super Bowl-winning team.
Evans’ popularity among core NFL fans has grown thanks to his chemistry with Tom Brady over the years.
