Superlek Kiatmoo9’s recent victory had an added significance and was shown by the way he celebrated it immediately afterwards.
Thai superstar Tagir Khalilov sent Russian superstar heavy-hitter into the second round by technical knockout (referee stopped) in his lightweight Muay Thai bout at ONE Fight Night 12 on Prime Video on July 14 in Bangkok.
The victory came just three weeks after his previous Superlek outing, which is why when Tagir Khalilov finished he breathed a sigh of relief and prompted the crowd to cheer.
Speaking during the post-fight interview, ‘The Kicking Machine’ said that he wanted to put on a good performance and not disappoint the Thai fans. And when he did it, he was really happy.
The 27-year-old Kiatmoo9 Gym star said:
“This celebration really came from the happiness that I felt in my heart. It was really relieved that I didn’t feel disappointed for any fans who came to support me. I’m really happy that they are here or that they are watching on TV and they can watch me being able to beat an opponent like that.”

A Superlek was all over Tagir Khalilov during their confrontation at ONE Fight Night 12.
He swept ‘Samingpri’ with heavy hits that the latter had a hard time dealing with.
The 30-year-old Yekaterinburg native saw his attempt end at the 1:42 mark of the second round. Unable to defend himself effectively as his forehead was bleeding profusely from the blows he took from the Superlek, the referee was forced to stop the contest.
The win cemented the status of the No. 1 ranked Muay Thai flyweight competitor in the “kicking machine,” who is also the world kickboxing champion.
He hopes to become world champion in two sports one at some point by taking a stab at long-held Muay Thai superstar Rudtang Jitmangnon’s gold.
