Surprises from Madden edge rusher reviews
Here are three surprises from recently released rusher reviews:
#1 No 99 Edge Rush
There is no edge rusher rated 99 in the latest iteration of Madden. The main defensive position group will not have a 99 player at the start of the game cycle, but that may change during the NFL season. The closest to 99 rushers were Joey Bosa and Miles Jarrett, who were rated 98.
Joey Bosa has likely been robbed of his 99-rated player card. The San Francisco 49ers star was the 2022 NFL Defensive Player of the Year and is a crucial cog in the 49ers’ shutout defensive plan. He deserves to be a 99 rated player, especially if Aaron Donald gets a 99.
#2 By Miller on Max Crosby
We love Buffalo Bills edge rusher Von Miller and think he has the potential to be the first ballot for the Hall of Famer.
However, there is no way he should be rated 94, especially after an injury-plagued 2022 season with the Buffalo Bills. The worst thing is that he beats Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby on the list.
Maybe it’s because of the teams they play for, but Maxx Crosby certainly deserves more respect than EA Sports has ever had. User sacks will always strike differently with the Von Miller, but Maxx Crosby deserves to be at least 95.
#3 Joey Bossa in the top 10?
Does Joey Bosa deserve his 91 rating and a spot on Madden 24’s top 10 edge-racing players? EA Sports thinks so, but we’re not sure about that.
Bosa is still a threat on the Los Angeles Chargers defense but has undoubtedly lost a step or two. His rating of 91 seems to be based on name value and nothing else.
However, Joey Bosa might be reading this and laughing out loud, waiting to prove the doubters wrong with a Defensive Player of the Year caliber.
