Dominic Mysterio is one of two members of The Judgment Day to hold the WWE Championship. Finn Balor could bring the Faction World Heavyweight Championship to Summerlam. However, a failed attempt could cause Damien Priest to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on Seth Rollins.
This means that fans could witness three out of the four members of The Judgment Day as heroes at The Biggest Party of the Summer, leading them to call out Balor as the weakest link in the group. Damian, Rhea, and Dominic can see this as an excuse to kick Finn out of the group, turning face in the process.
Another possible scenario could see Finn Balor replaced by JD McDonagh at Judgment Day. WWE has already teased a potential Irish Ace in the faction. The two stars are no strangers to each other. In fact, Bálor taught McDonagh the ropes before the former NXT Cruiserweight Champion eventually made his way to WWE.
Dominic Mysterio could appear more in NXT
Dominic Mysterio won his first NXT Championship match this week. The young star ended North American stunner Wes Lee in shocking fashion.
The new champion will have his first title defense against Mustafa Ali at NXT: The Great American Bash 2023.
Fans can expect Dom and Rhea to appear on, if not every The Judgment Day, on NXT as they build up to the premium live event on July 30. Shawn Michaels teased the future duo’s appearance during an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda.
Judgment Day debuted together on the July 11, 2023, episode of NXT. It remains to be seen if the faction will appear together next week on the white and gold brand.
