Ishaan Kishan, the Indian wicket-keeper, celebrated his 25th birthday on Tuesday, July 18. Ishaan is currently with the Indian team on their tour of the West Indies and also made his debut in the First Test in Dominica.
The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) posted a video on their social media that showed how the southern youth celebrated his birthday with the Indian team. He is first seen going to practice session with batting practice as well as save drills.
Captain Rohit Sharma also had a funny exchange with Ishan Kishan, asking the latter to score a hundred and give him a ‘gift’ to the team. Ishaan then met West Indies legend Brian Lara and seemed to be getting some advice on batting.
The video then saw the entire team celebrate as Ishan cuts the cake and Southpaw thanks the fans for all the birthday wishes he received.

Since Rishabh Pant’s horrific car accident, India have been scrambling to find a capable reserve wicket-keeper. They tried out KS Bharat for the entire Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 as well as the World Test Championship final, but the wicket-keeper was unable to cement his position with solid performances.
Team India then turned to Ishan Kishan for the Dominica Test, and while he looked quite confident with his glove work, the young southpaw scored just a one-run before Rohit Sharma declared the innings.
There was much debate as to whether the India captain could give Ishaan some time in the middle to free himself as the match eventually ended in the space of three days. However, the visitors have another test to play and Ishan could get his chance to make an impact with the bat.
