Liverpool are not willing to sell striker Luis Diaz this summer despite receiving a €50m offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal, according to reports.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the Colombian winger is very much in the plans of Reds manager Jurgen Klopp despite interest from the Saudi Professional League.

Romano wrote on Twitter:

“Liverpool has no intention of considering a 50 million euro verbal method from Al Hilal for Luis Diaz. It’s part of Jurgen Klopp’s long-term plans. Liverpool want Luis to stay and be part of the team this season despite the Saudi calls.”

Journalist Paul Joyce told The Times earlier this week that ex Porto The star attracted the attention of the crescent moon. However, the reporter claimed that no official offer had yet been made to the Merseyside outfit.

Joyce said (via Empire of the Kop):

He added, “Luis Diaz is the latest Liverpool player to attract attention from the Saudi Professional League, with Al-Hilal interested in signing him. The Portuguese Al-Hilal is managed by Jorge Jesus, and sources in Portugal and Colombia confirmed interest in the winger, but no offer was made.”

He admitted that Liverpool were reluctant to sell the Colombian international and that Diaz was expected to take part in the club’s pre-season tour.

The Reds acquired Diaz’s services in January 2022 from Porto for £37.5m. The Colombian winger helped the club win the FA Cup, the English Super Cup and the Carabao Cup.

Diaz scored 47 games in all competitions for the Merseyside side, registering 11 goals and eight assists.

Southampton star Fabrizio Romano has been named as a possible replacement for Fabinho at Liverpool

Liverpool midfielder Fabinho appears set to leave Anfield as a move to Al-Ittihad is in the advanced stages, Fabrizio Romano recently claimed.

The reporter claims the Reds are in the market for another midfielder despite signing Alexis McAllister and Dominic Zuboszlay this summer.

Romano reports that the Reds are interested in Southampton midfielder Romeo Lafia. He told GIVEMESPORT:

“Anyway, (Liverpool) will sign at least one more midfielder. Romeo Lafia is at the top of the list. They want Romeo Lafia. But I’m told Chelsea is still there, so let’s see what happens.”

He also claimed that the Belgium international could attract interest from Arsenal also. Romano added:

“We also know that if Arsenal sell Thomas Partey to a Saudi club, he (Lavia) could be a possibility for Arsenal. Liverpool are considering multiple options for the defensive midfield position.”

It remains to be seen who the Merseyside side will go on to replace Fabinho in the midfield department.
