Delhi Capitals editor-in-chief Prithvi Show met actor Kecha Sudeep on Tuesday 18 July. For a black shirt the duo also posed for the camera.
Shaw commented on the Instagram post:
Absolute boss! Kitcha Boss! a loved person. Always special to meet and spend time with ❤️kichchasudeepa.”
On the professional front, Shaw was last seen in the match for Western Province against Southern Province at the Duleep Trophy in Bengaluru. The right-handed batter scored 65 and 7, but his team lost the Summit Showdown by 75 runs. He had previously scored 26 and 25 in the semi-final against Central District.
Shaw also had a dismal season with the bat in the Indian Premier League last season, scoring just 106 runs in eight matches at an average of 124.71, including a lone half-century.
As a result, the Mumbai-born batsman did not find a place in the West Indies’ upcoming five-match T20I series. He was also snubbed by the selectors for India’s second squad for the Asian Games later this year.
Despite this, Shaw secured a deal with Northamptonshire to play in the remainder of the County Championship and Royal London One-Day Cup. He will become the fifth Indian in recent times to play county cricket after Chiteshwar Pujara (Sussex), Ajinkia Rahan (Leicestershire), Navdeep Saini (Worcestershire) and Ardhdeep Singh (Kent).
In a recent interview, Prithvi Shaw opened up about the importance of leaving past failures behind and moving on. Tell ESPNCricinfo:
“You have to keep moving forward. No matter what game I’m in, it’s important for me to give my best. I’m the type of person who always puts the team first. I feel like sometimes you just have to take a step back and move on.” Forward again. Things will come your way if you do the right things at the right time.”
Prithvi Shaw last played for India in July 2021. He returned scores of 43, 13 and 49 in three ODIs against Sri Lanka before scoring a duck in the solitary T20I.
