WWE should consider turning the 43-year-old RAW superstar heel for a contendership against Seth Rollins.

Seth Rollins is set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor at WWE SummerSlam 2023 in Detroit on August 5th. The two Money in the Bank stars also battled it out, with The Visionary emerging victorious. However, Bálor managed to convince Rollins to give him his rematch by attacking him on last night’s episode of RAW.

Shinsuke Nakamura also had an interesting moment during this week’s edition of WWE RAW. The King of Strong Style engaged Bronson Reed in a singles match, but it ended prematurely due to interference from Tommaso Ciampa. Ciampa wanted revenge on Reed for costing him a No Disqualification match against The Miz on July 10, and his interference led to Nakamura losing due to his disqualification the previous night.

Nakamura did not react well to Ciampa’s tackle and threw him into the side of his head. The promotion reportedly plans to introduce Nakamura as a “edgier” character moving forward, which could lead to an intriguing opponent for Seth Rollins in the future.

The Japanese veteran won the 2018 Royal Rumble but failed to capture the WWE Championship from AJ Styles at WrestleMania 34. The former two-time Intercontinental Champion can conclude that he is running out of time in his career to return to the title picture and world heavyweight championship target Seth Rollins.

A WWE veteran pointed out a glitch in Seth Rollins’ segment last night on WWE RAW

Former WWE writer Vince Russo has an issue with the backstage affair between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor last night on the red brand.

Rollins was interviewed by Byron Saxton backstage, but they were quickly interrupted by Finn Balor of The Judgment Day. The 41-year-old sat out the World Heavyweight Champion and demanded a rematch at SummerSlam.

The Visionary stated that the title was more important than Balor’s vendetta against him and told the veteran to get out of his face. Balor responded by attacking the champion, and the title match was later made official at SummerSlam the next month.

He talks about Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAWRusso questioned why Seth Rollins acted so seriously last night and pointed out that his “Joker” gimmick made no sense.

“Now, I’m seriously watching Seth, and they’re face to face, and you don’t have any glasses or anything goofy. Then I’m fine, so you’re acting like The Joker. Why are you doing that? Do you understand what I’m saying? I didn’t get it.” (From 41 :06 – 42:24)

Shinsuke Nakamura looked destined for a legendary career in WWE when he made it to NXT in 2016. While the Japanese star has put together an impressive resume thus far on the main roster, winning the World Heavyweight Championship would be his biggest achievement in the company.

It will be interesting to see if Nakamura’s change of heart leads to him chasing a major title after SummerSlam.
