Former WWE star Bryan Danielson shared an injury update ahead of AEW Blood & Guts.
The American Dragons last wrestled at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view. He faced IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada in the main event. During the match, the four-time WWE Champion was seriously injured. that pierced his arm.
Despite the injury, Danielson managed the Le-belle Lock forcing Okada to pin out.
After the Forbidden Door pay-per-view, Danielson’s wife Brie Bella shared an X-ray of the fractured arm.
Earlier tonight, prior to the release of Dynamite’s AEW Blood & Guts special, The American Dragon took to Twitter to share an update on his injury. He stated that a steel bar needed to be surgically inserted into his arm and that the surgery had gone well.
“Also, to give everyone an update prior to #AEWDynamite, I had surgery on my arm about 2 weeks ago, where they put a steel rod and 9 screws in. The surgery went well and I’m on the road to recovery. Thank you all for the support, and check out #BloodAndGuts tonight!” tweeted Brian Danielson.
