Police said a case of kidnapping, gang rape and murder was registered at Nongbuk Sikmai Police Station in Thoubal district against unidentified gunmen. Shameful and Indebted: Kejriwal on the Attack on Women in Manipur
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday condemned the parade of two naked women in ethnic violence-hit Manipur, urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to pay attention to the prevailing situation in the state and ensure stern action is taken against the perpetrators.
The backlash comes after a video surfaced on May 4, Wednesday, showing the two women topless in the northeastern state.

Manipur Chief Minister N. Peren Singh on Wednesday responded to a May 4 video of two women “parading naked” on a road after a group of men were allegedly given the death penalty.
Speaking to CNN-News18, he said, “It is a crime against humanity and if proven true, the state government will leave no stone unturned to catch the perpetrators and give them the death penalty. It is a heinous crime and I strongly condemn it.”
Trinamool raises the issue of Manipur in Parliament
On Wednesday, the Trinamool Congress declared its commitment to addressing the issue of ethnic conflict in Manipur during the Parliament session. The party strongly condemned the painful incident of molesting and publicly insulting two women by a group of men in the northeastern state.
A delegation of five TMC MPs visited Churachandpur, one of the hardest hit districts, and the Imphal Valley, where they inspected two relief camps each. In addition, the leaders held a meeting with Governor Anusuya Okiye at Raj Bhavan.
TMC Lok Sabha MP Kalyan Banerjee spoke to reporters, expressing the pain and suffering people shared with them during the visit. He highlighted the insufficient relief materials provided to both the hill areas and relief camps in the valley, stressing the dire need for adequate support for these camps.
