Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has never been shy about speaking his mind, and he once again took part in “The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone.”
Green believes LeBron James is better than anyone his size because of his IQ. However, he did not utter the words when talking about other NBA players.
“When I talk about guys who have like next-level basketball intelligence, you’re talking about LeBron James,” said Green. “The fact that he’s this size and that athletic and basketball smart, like, guys that size and athletes, most of them are dumb like shit.”

Green is known to be close to James despite his many fights. They both excel in multiple aspects of the game. They break player size stereotypes with next level basketball intelligence.
Green talked about why he thinks James is unique in his size.
“Usually they’re so stupid because they were that big and athletic,” Green said. So, people just counted on them. They were like, ‘Oh yeah, you’re that big, and you’re that sporty.’ But eventually you will come across another person of this size and that athlete.
“So, the fact that he (James) is that big, that the athlete has a top three or top five playable IQ is insane.”
Understanding the game is rarer than people think, Green said
“Not a lot of players have any basketball IQs. Less than 60 percent of the NBA,” Green said. “Knowing the game in this league is one of the best skills to have. He separates you instantly. It immediately gives you a leg up because the players don’t understand the game.”
Green broke most of the pool of NBA players. However, some other players whose basketball IQ he respects exclaimed. Most of his praise was heaped on the older players. He threw it to one guard not in the league.
“The things he sees and the things he orchestrates, you can just see. (Ragon) Rondo for sure,” said Green.
Rajon Rondo wasn’t the only veteran Green recognized. He also gave flowers to new teammate Chris Paul.
He also gave credit to Patrick Beverley for his basketball IQ. Finally, Green, of course, listed himself in that category of basketball smarts.
