While it has been a common trend in recent years for WWE Superstars to sign with AEW, performers from the youth promotion seem eager to move to the more established company.
In recent months, World Wrestling Entertainment has reportedly had a hiring freeze. While there are many factors behind this, one obvious reason is the ongoing lawsuit they are facing from Major League Wrestling.
talking on Observer Wrestling RadioDave Meltzer reports that several AEW stars have expressed interest in finalizing the switch, however, the MLW lawsuit is preventing many from signing.
“IThe MLW lawsuit didn’t exist, and WWE – not only are these guys (the elite), there are other guys associated with it, who have at least an interest in hearing about WWE and in one case an interest in going to WWE. It can be very scary. (H/T WrestleTalk)
Arguably the biggest trade between the two companies in recent years has been The American Nightmare and former AEW CEO Cody Rhodes returning to World Wrestling Entertainment.
Despite having some success in All Elite Wrestling, the star currently struggling with the promotion is Wardlow.
Veteran journalist Bill Apter, who looks like Batista, said on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s show not written That the 35-year-old should change companies.
“Oh my God, listen, if WWE had Wardlaw, he’d be in a lot of contention at this point… If it were me, I’d put him as Batista’s second incoming. I think he’s really good. But I don’t know… I like AEW, that’s not a jab but I don’t think they’ve found the right spot for him. He’s a guy who doesn’t have to get knocked down too much,” said Bill Apter.
