Things seem to be going from bad to worse for the New York Yankees, with Carlos Rodon returning and another sub-par start. Rodon gave up four runs in just three innings against the Los Angeles Angels, and he heard it from the Yankees crowd in attendance. So as he walked into the bunker, he made sure they knew he heard them.

Rodon was often an emotional player, but he usually made it into a better player. After missing most of the season so far, those feelings seem to be getting more negative. It was like mocking fans suggesting he was feeling love, when in reality he was feeling anything but that.

Talkin’ Yanks on Twitter shared a video of Rodon’s gesture on Twitter.

Carlos Rodon was supposed to be the Yankees’ lifesaver upon his return from injury, but that hasn’t happened yet. Gerrit Cole is having one of the best seasons of his career, but he just can’t do it all alone. If Rodon maintains his pace, the Yankees are in danger of missing out on the playoffs.

The New York Yankees need Carlos Rodon to get back to the All-Star level ASAP

Without Aaron Judge, this Yankees team would have been a shell of what it was supposed to be. Their stadium staff was also devastated by injury, but Rodon’s return was supposed to mark the end of that doom. Instead, it looks like it might add to it.

Jared Karabis mocked Yankees fans, as usual, who expected a better return on Twitter.

“The addition of Carlos Rodon will give the Yankees the best spin in baseball. There’s no doubt about it.” – Jared Karabis

If Rodon can’t be the pitcher he was last season, starting pitching becomes too much of a burden for the Yankees.
