The Election Code of Conduct is now in force in the respective panchayats. No electoral official may be transferred until the polling has been completed.

The State Election Commission has updated the voter lists based on the electoral lists of the Haryana Legislative Assembly published on January 5, 2023. Persons not on the list can apply to Deputy Commissioner – Deputy District Elections Officer till the last date for nomination. No changes to the voter list will be allowed after that.

“No amendment, alteration or deletion of any entry in the voter list will be made and no direction will be given for inclusion of a name in the voter list for any division, after the first date for submission of nominations for elections in the Panchayati Raj Foundation,” Singh said.

The state police have made arrangements to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections, including additional forces for sensitive areas.

Additional police force will be provided in sensitive and highly sensitive areas. Singh said I appeal to the voters to participate in this election in a big way to elect their representatives without any caste/religion bias and without any fear or preference to promote democracy at the grassroots level.
