In a major bureaucratic shake-up, more than 41 IAS officers were transferred by the state government on Friday along with Rajendra Kshirsagar, who was the joint general secretary of Manoj Saunik’s office, being appointed district collector for the city of Mumbai. Earlier, Rajiv Nivatkar was the District Collector of Mumbai.

Makrand Deshmukh, who was the Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) in the Konkan Division, was appointed in place of Kchirsagar as Joint Secretary in the Chief Secretary’s office.

In another transfer, IAS employee Tukaram Mundhe, who was appointed just a month ago as the secretary of the Marathi language department, has now been appointed as a secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture.

Sanjay Kandar, an employee of the IAS Group in 1996, was appointed as the Chief Secretary of the Water Supply and Sanitation Department of Mantralaya.

In other major transfers, Gangatharan De, District Collector of Nashik, was appointed as Joint Commissioner of BMC by replacing incumbent Ajit Kumbhar.

Sanjay Chavan, the current CEO of Zilla Parishad in Kolhapur, has been appointed as additional stamp controller in Mumbai.

Nima Arora, Akola District Collector, has been appointed as Director of IT Department in Mumbai.

Shanmugarajan S, appointed as District Collector of Washim, was appointed as Additional Development Commissioner (Industries).

Vijay Rathod, who was working in Jalna District, was appointed as Joint CEO, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC).
