Celebrity fashion designer Manish Malhotra hosted a huge haute couture show in Mumbai last night, where stars Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt made an appearance. Actor Ranveer’s wife Deepika Padukone, mother of Anju Bhavani, director Karan Johar, actor Kajol, as well as Alia’s mother Soni Razdan, among others, were seen in the front row.
Ranveer Singh, who never misses an opportunity to fawn over his wife, stops on the slope, walks over to Deepika Padukone, and places a kiss on her cheek. Ranveer is also seen touching his mother’s feet and asking for her blessings. Karan also hugged Johar, before continuing down the ramp.
Ranveer’s gestures are received with love from fans on social media. His fans couldn’t stop gushing over the couple’s cute moment on the show. One fan wrote in the comments section, “I love the way he always loves his girl – the way he stops when he sees her 😍”, while another commented, “Handsome ❤️ I love how he hangs close to his beloved wife 😍 Even at some point he was so much I still live it as an artist ❤️.”
Ranveer was wearing a white sherwani, while Deepika Padukone was seen in a net saree. Around the same time, her fellow cast members of the upcoming Kalki 2898 AD were promoting the film at San Diego Comic Con. Deepika Padukone could not attend the event as she is prohibited from participating in promotional activities as per SAG guidelines.
Not only Deepika Padukone, but Ranveer’s boyfriend Arjun Kapoor also got a kiss on the cheek. After the show, Ranveer walks up to him to hug and kiss him.
In another video, Deepika Padukone is seen meeting Mukesh Ambani and his daughter, Esha Ambani, on the show. Deepika Padukone was also seen taking care of her mother-in-law at the event. While the two were seen lost in conversation while sitting in the audience, Deepika seemed to check on her mother-in-law as they left the scene. Deepika was walking in front of her, flanked by her bodyguards, but kept turning around to wait for Ranveer’s mother.

Deepika shared her look from the night, writing in an Instagram post, “In the dress-up game, the saree always wins.” In the comments section, Ranveer Singh responded by saying, “Jaan lele Meri… ♥️ 🩸 🔪.”
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is set to be released on July 28. Alia and Ranveer will be sharing screens for the second time after the huge success of Gully Boy.
