Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s office said it will distribute more than 70,000 appointment letters to new recruits on Saturday and address them via video conference.

Rozgar Mela will be held at 44 locations across the country. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said in a statement that recruitment is being done across central government departments as well as state and union territory governments that support the initiative.

The Prime Minister’s Office said that Prime Minister Modi will distribute more than 70,000 letters of appointment to the new recruits on July 22 at 10:30 am via video conferencing.

He will also address those appointed on the occasion.

Recruits selected from across the country will join the government in various ministries and departments, including the Department of Revenue, Department of Financial Services, Department of Postal, Department of School Education, Department of Higher Education, Department of Defense, and Department of State. Health and Family Welfare, Central Public Sector Undertakings, Water Resources Department, Personnel and Training Department and Ministry of the Interior, among others.

The statement said the Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s commitment to give top priority to job generation.

The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in generating more employment opportunities and providing meaningful opportunities for youth to empower and participate in national development.

The statement said the new recruits are also getting the chance to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online module on the iGOT Karmayogi portal, where more than 580 e-learning courses have been made available in order to ‘anywhere with any device’ learning format.
