The UP Skills Development Mission found that 169 Requisition Enablement Organizations (RFE) are eligible to be registered or listed under a startup training provider policy to run skills training programs in the state.

The state government said in a statement on Thursday that the applications of 169 agencies and institutions will be submitted for approval at the next state executive committee meeting, after which a memorandum of understanding will be signed with these bodies before August 21.

In the statement, the government said that under the Junior Training Provider Policy and under the provisions of 2023, training-related targets will be allocated to all authorized agencies and institutions by the end of August, and by the end of September they will start providing training to young people through their registration.

The government added that the UP Skills Development Mission was running short-term skills training programs relating to various employable sectors for young people. Skills training programs in the regions are implemented through government and private training providers.

Andhra Vamsi, Mission Director, UP Skill Development, said the quality of training provided by the delegated agencies and institutions will be in line with industrial demand, and the benefit will be in providing more job opportunities for the trained youth.
