Sixteen people were injured in the lightning strikes and were taken to different hospitals.
Six persons were killed and 16 others injured in lightning strikes in various districts of West Bengal on Friday, an official said.
A state disaster management official said the dead included three people from Paschim Medinipur district, two people from Purulia and one person from Jalpaiguri district.
He said that 16 people were injured in the lightning strikes and were taken to different hospitals.
