A school principal has been arrested for beating a 12-year-old boy by climbing on him in front of other students in Munger district of Bihar state.
An alleged video of the incident shows the principal hitting the boy while he was sleeping with other students at Nirmala International Public Residential School in Jamalpur, India today mentioned.
The principal of the school, Ram Nath Mandal and his wife, Nirmala Devi, were arrested after the incident.
According to the parents, the boy accidentally dropped a bottle of Dettol. The liquid reportedly fell on another student. So, after that, he was beaten first by Devi, and then by Mandal.
The incident was caught on CCTV, and showed some other students watching in shock as the principal beat up the boy, who knew Mathew Ragan. The beating continues for a few minutes before stopping.
It came to light when the boy’s health deteriorated and he told his parents what had happened.
Subsequently, the boy’s parents filed a complaint and demanded that action be taken against the accused.
The father also revealed that they tried to meet their son, but the school refused to let them.
