The minimum temperature in Delhi on Saturday settled at 29.4 degrees Celsius, two degrees lower than the seasonal average, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

The weatherman predicted generally cloudy skies with a chance of light rain or rain in the national capital during the day with the maximum temperature expected to be around 38°C.

Moreover, the relative humidity at 8.30 am on Saturday was recorded at 59 per cent.

Over the next few days, the maximum temperature is likely to be above 33 degrees and below 38 degrees, and the minimum temperature will be below 30 degrees but above 25 degrees.

Meanwhile, the meteorological agency said isolated heavy rainfall activity is likely to continue over Konkan and Ghat districts of Madhya Maharashtra and Gujarat over the next two days while light rain is likely to continue over northeastern and remaining parts of eastern India over the next 4-5 days.

In the weather bulletin issued by the International Institute for Management Development, it said that weather conditions in different parts of India until July 25 are expected to bring heavy rains and some heavy rains.

The IMD further predicted that central India can expect light to moderate rainfall with isolated torrential rains lashing the region over the next five days.

Western India is likely to see light to moderate rains somewhat with heavy to very heavy rains over Konkan, Goa, Ghat districts of Madhya Maharashtra, and Gujarat over the next three days, with lessening thereafter.

“Mumbai may see heavy to very heavy rains in the next couple of days and Konkan, Goa and Ghat regions of Madhya Maharashtra and Gujarat may also see isolated very heavy rains on July 22,” the meteorological agency said.
