Vehicle traffic has been stopped on all three lanes of the Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai Expressway at present.

As heavy rains continue to fall in the state, a landslide was reported on the Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai expressway Sunday night, affecting the movement of vehicles.

There were no reports so far of any injuries due to the landslide.

Vehicle traffic is stopped on all three lanes of the highway for the time being.

It comes as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted more rains in parts of Maharashtra.

IMD has issued an ‘orange’ alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated locations in Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts. The warning was issued on July 24.
