OpenAI, the buzzy AI company backed by Microsoftfirst appeared in the Android version of ChatGPT application Tuesday.
The launch of the app follows the iOS app’s first launch in May, which was the first time it was available outside of the OpenAI website. The app syncs user history across devices and enables voice input, and users can ask the chatbot for instant answers to questions, tips or tips, creative inspiration, summaries, draft emails or presentations, and more.
But take any chatbot’s answers with a grain of salt: an AI model can sometimes be wrong or misleading because it’s trained on internet data.
The Android app is available in the United States, India, Bangladesh, and Brazil. OpenAI plans to expand availability over the next week.
The news comes as the AI ​​arms race rages on among chatbot leaders such as OpenAI, MicrosoftAnd Google and anthropic. In an effort to encourage consumers to adopt generative AI in their daily routines, tech giants are racing to release not only new chatbot applications, but also new features, such as visual search.
