Parts of Bengaluru in Karnataka state were flooded after heavy rains lashed the city on Monday and Tuesday, snarling traffic and leaving many low-lying areas flooded.<\/p>\n
Traffic jams were reported on some major roads like Bannerghatta Road, Layout, Shanthinagar, Basavanagudi, Jayanagar, Lakkasandra, Outer Ring Road and Kanakapura Road as vehicles were reportedly stuck in knee-deep water after heavy rains.<\/p>\n
Southern and central parts of Bengaluru received heavy rains, with maximum rainfall in the southern region and Rajarajeshwari Nagar.<\/p>\n
Netizens even took to social media to share how parts of Bengaluru were submerged in water after the rains.<\/p>\n
A Times Now report says that an empty house collapsed in Virabhadrangar district, south Bengaluru, damaging three cars parked nearby.<\/p>\n
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain in Bengaluru until May 11. Widespread moderate rain with heavy rain\/showers and thunderstorms is expected over the BBMP region until at least May 11, the weather department said.<\/p>\n
