Delhi Traffic Police has fined 11,000 rupees to a cyclist who was driving with a woman sitting on a gas tank and embracing him after a video of the two made the rounds on the internet.
Traffic Police said via Twitter, “Knowing of a viral video where he was driving his two-wheeler dangerously, (we have) booked the offender under appropriate departments. A total fine of Rs. 11,000 has been imposed.”
“Please don’t copy the movies. Drive safe. Be safe.”
In the video, a man is riding a bike and the woman is sitting across from him and hugging him without wearing a helmet.
The passenger was booked for driving without a helmet, without a license and driving dangerously. It has also been reserved to allow unauthorized persons to drive.
