A source close to Khatron added that with a number of actors already on board, the filmmakers are looking for celebrities from other industries. Dino James, a rapper from Maharashtra who has become very popular on social media has signed his contract recently. His songs like “Loser”, “Girlfriend”, “Yaadein”, “Unstoppable”, “Hancock” and “Maa” are much loved by fans. Last year, James also appeared as a “squad leader” aka one of the mentors in Hustle 2.0.

As for Rashmit Kaur, the singer gained popularity via the Punjabi folk songs “Bajri Da Sita”, “Pohi Pariyan” and “Ek Meri Akh Kashni”. Recently, she has also voiced “Thumkeshwari” by Bhediya featuring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.

Other confirmed names in the show include former Ali Baba actress Shezan Khan, Bigg Boss 16 fame Shiv Thakare and Archana Gautam, actor and director Rohit Bose RoyGhum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin fame Aishwarya Sharma, Pisachini actor Nyrraa M Banerji, Kumkum Bhagya actors Ruhi Chaturvedi and Anjum Fakih, Kundali Bhagya actor Arjit Taneja, Dhai Kilo Premame Anjali Anand and former Roadies winner.

An adaptation of the international show Fear Factor, Khatron Ke Khiladi airs on Colours. Before Rohit Shetty, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Kapoor and Mukul Dev hosted the show. Last year, Shetty, in an exclusive chat with indianexpress.com, spoke about doing Khatron Ke Khiladi and admitted he was really ‘scared’ when he took on the task. He also said that although there were some comparisons at first, the fans’ love made him feel comfortable.

“It was difficult because the show was done by actors and stars. Then the show went off for a few years. When they came back with a new format, I was asked to host it. It was a big responsibility. I gave 100 percent, and this was my first season. But when it was about to be televised, I was Scared, to be honest. It was the first time a director had done this kind of show. There were so many expectations, and I wasn’t sure if people would accept me or not. It was something I was afraid of. But the kind of love we got from The show has been the highest rated, and the love we get is just magical,” director Singham said with a smile.
