They were asked to take special care of the roads to central Delhi, which includes Jantar Mantar, a designated protest site in the city.

A special vehicle of the Delhi Police – Ikshana – a live CCTV surveillance vehicle has been deployed at the site to monitor the law and order arrangements. This vehicle is equipped with eight modern fixed cameras for a 360-degree view of the site.

“The angles of the already installed CCTV cameras are being adjusted so that there is clarity on the activities at the protest site in Jantar Mantar. The damaged CCTV cameras have also been replaced with new ones to maintain 24/7 monitoring of the activities.”

According to the police, as a precautionary measure, barriers have been put in place at several locations across Delhi to ensure that no untoward incident takes place.

The police also intensified their patrols at the borders with the deployment of additional forces and sit-ins. They have checked vehicles at the border posts of the city to stop a large gathering in Jantar Mantar.
