Former Tottenham Hotspur star Alan Hutton has urged Dean Henderson to leave Manchester United and seal a permanent move to Tottenham in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Henderson, 26, joined Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan deal last summer after failing to secure enough minutes at his parent club last season. So far, he has recorded six clean sheets in 20 matches for Forest in this campaign.

According to Football Insider, Henderson has deemed a return to the Old Trafford side an impossibility, as he has no intention of deputizing for David de Gea. Forest and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on snapping up the Englishman.

During an interaction with the aforementioned website, Hutton was asked if Tottenham would be a better option than Forest for the former Sheffield United goalkeeper. He replied:

“He would definitely be a better option. You’d rather be on a team at the top end of the league than at the bottom. But, it will come down to whether or not he gets bought as a number one. Is that where they are I see him or is he a backup? Is he out there?” To push Lloris or is Lloris going forward So he really falls into that category.

Supporting Henderson to join the North London team, Hutton continued:

“We thought he would take over from De Gea at Manchester United, that didn’t work out. It’s all about playing now, he’s ready for that. So, if he’s going to be number one, I think you’ll choose Tottenham.”

Henderson oversaw 13 shutouts in 29 matches across competitions for Manchester United. Meanwhile, the Red Devils are expected to finalize De Gea’s contract extension in the coming weeks.

Inter Milan is heading towards the Manchester United star

According to Vishaggis, Inter Milan are interested in signing Manchester United star Donny van de Beek this summer. They are willing to offer an £18m fee for the future signing of the unlikely midfielder.

Van de Beek, 26, has failed to impress since joining the Red Devils from Ajax for £35m in 2020. He was sent out on loan to Everton in the second half of last season but has struggled to regain his career.

Since returning to his home club, Van de Beek has made just ten appearances this season. He is expected to be offloaded ahead of the upcoming 2023-24 campaign to raise transfer money and make room for summer signings.

Overall, the Dutchman scored two goals and contributed several assists in 60 matches for Manchester United.
